Helymaeus pedestris, a beautiful and rare species of Callichromini tribe occuring in Arabian peninsula, has been described from Yemen by Francis Polkinghorne Pascoe in 1878 [▽].

Depicted mounted beetle was collected 20 km SE of Fayfa (N17°14′34.6″ E43°08′22.7″; 615 m a.s.l., Faifa Mountains / Jibāl Fayfāʾ, Jazan province, Saudi Arabia) on April 30 - May 1, 2023.
